Big Data Analytics and Bio-Net are two sophisticated high-end computing laboratories created by Prof Dhruba Kumar Bhattacharyya based on Extramural Research Grants received from MHRD, DeitY, UGC. DST and ISRO to carry out research in the field of Machine Learning, Network Security, Bio-informatics and Big Data Analytics. In addition to a high-end cluster computing facility supported by a 32 TB NAS, the laboratories facilitate the Phd students, PG and UG students of the department with a good number of high-end Graphics Work-stations for quality research. A state-of-the-art Test-bed has been created to launch and analyse all types of DDoS attacks and other known attack types. The test-bed is designed in light of MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
